The Brief:
Spudshed is known for its bold, unmistakable presence in Western Australia’s fresh food market. My role was to lead the design of internal and external signage for new store openings in Midland, Jandakot, and Bentley. The process began with reviewing architectural plans and collaborating with the Spudshed marketing team to ensure every signage application aligned with both practical requirements and brand storytelling.
I developed multiple concepts that explored marketing messages, colour treatments, and materials to strengthen Spudshed’s “family farm to table” aesthetic. The iconic green palette and logo were used as anchors, while lifestyle imagery of the family behind the brand was carefully retouched and adapted for large-scale environments.
Each project worked to an eight-week design-to-opening schedule, requiring efficient concept development, approvals, and production management. The result was a cohesive signage package that not only enhanced store visibility but also reinforced Spudshed’s brand promise of authenticity, value, and connection to its farming roots.
